The Experience

Our innovative format offers key advantages over traditional yoga teacher training programs:

Attend on your schedule: By dividing the curriculum up into focused classes, this approach is ideal for busy professionals and parents who can easily fit sessions into their schedules without committing to an intensive, months-long program.

Payment Structure: The pay-as-you-go structure eliminates the need for a large upfront investment, making the training more financially accessible. Students can budget for each class individually and spread the cost over time.

Content Retainability: This format also allows for deeper exploration of each topic, as learners can fully immerse themselves in one subject before progressing. The result is a more manageable, less stressful learning experience that adapts to the student's lifestyle and pace, leading to better understanding and retention of the material.

After completing the training, you will be awarded a 200-Hour YTT Yogi Colorado Certification, making you eligible to teach at yoga studios around the world.

The Classes

Our yoga teacher training program is structured around eleven distinct classes of 11 weeks each. Every class is focused on a specific aspect of yoga education. This approach allows students to explore each topic in depth, rather than skimming the surface of many subjects at once. Instead of a single comprehensive final exam, knowledge is assessed throughout each course, ensuring a thorough understanding of each subject before moving on.

Here are the classes we will be offering:

Asana 1, 2, 3, and 4 (3 credit hours each): These classes provide a progressive study of yoga postures, likely covering alignment, modifications, and sequencing across different styles and levels of practice. (Must be taken in order or concurrently)

History and Philosophy (3 credit hours): This course delves into the rich historical and philosophical foundations of yoga, exploring its origins, key texts, and evolving traditions.

Ethics and More (3 credit hours): Students examine the ethical principles of yoga practice and teaching, as well as other related topics that guide professional conduct.

Meditation, Pranayama, and Chant (2 credit hours): This class focuses on the mental and spiritual aspects of yoga, teaching various meditation techniques, breathing exercises, and traditional chanting practices.

Teaching Methodologies 1 and 2 (3 credit hours each): These courses cover the practical skills needed to effectively teach yoga, including class design, instruction techniques, and student interaction. Prerequisites: Asana 1 and 2 (Must be taken in order or concurrently)

Anatomy/Physiology and Biomechanics (2 credit hours): This class explores the human body in relation to yoga practice, covering musculoskeletal structure, function, and movement principles. Prerequisites: Asana 1 and 2

Expanding Your Teaching (3 credit hours): The final course likely covers advanced teaching concepts, specialization opportunities, and ways to grow as a yoga professional. Prerequisites: Asana 1 and 2; Asana 3 and 4 or concurrently

This modular approach allows students to focus intensively on each area of study, building a comprehensive understanding of yoga teaching one topic at a time.
